Friendship, Fun, and Firsts: My Epic First Trip
I was in class when suddenly my friend called and asked me to take leave from the hostel and pack my bags immediately. She didn’t tell me where we were going, adding an exciting touch of mystery to the plan. By 11:30 PM, we had rented a car and hit the road. After a long overnight drive, we finally reached our destination, Jibhi, at around 6:30 AM.
The cool morning air greeted us as we arrived in this serene little paradise nestled in the hills. We looked for a guest house, found a cozy spot to stay, and rested for a few hours. Once refreshed, we got ready and stepped out to explore. Our first stop was Mini Thailand, a breathtaking and peaceful place surrounded by nature’s untouched beauty. We spent time by the river, enjoying the peace and watching the clear water. To top it all off, we indulged in a delicious meal of Maggi, Siddu, and piping hot tea by the riverside. It was one of those rare moments of pure bliss, where the company of a good friend and the beauty of nature made everything feel perfect.
After exploring Mini Thailand, we decided to plan our next adventure and headed to Shoja, a charming little village nearby. There, we stumbled upon a beautiful café called GHAR 1964, which truly lived up to its name—it felt just like home. The cozy, relaxing ambiance was the perfect retreat, and we instantly felt at ease.
We spent hours unwinding, playing games, and soaking in the vibe. We played UNO, and to my delight, I won 💃. We also challenged ourselves with a wooden block puzzle, which added to the fun. The food was another highlight—hot chocolate, momos, and pizza that were absolutely delicious! Each bite felt like a warm hug in the chilly mountain air.
The view from the café was nothing short of breathtaking. Surrounded by towering, intense mountains, the tranquility of the place was unmatched. It reminded me why the mountains are always the ultimate escape—“Sukoon toh pahado mein hi hai” ❤️. This stop at Shoja was the perfect blend of relaxation, fun, and good food, leaving us with memories that I’ll cherish forever.
The next morning, we left for Manikaran, a place known for its peaceful vibes and spiritual energy. Our first stop was the Shiv Mandir, a beautiful temple that felt so calm and divine. The temple is also called Manali hot water temple Manikaran.
One of the most fascinating things about Manikaran was the natural hot and cold water springs. It was amazing to see how, in one place, you could feel the intense heat of the hot water and the chilling cold of the cold water, all flowing together. The riverside view was absolutely stunning. The river flowed with so much energy, creating a soothing sound that added to the peaceful atmosphere. Sitting by the river and feeling the cool breeze was so refreshing—it felt like nature was at its best. This visit to Manikaran was truly a mix of spirituality and the beauty of nature, leaving us in awe of the place.
