Journey Beyond Boundaries: Embracing the Magic of Travel
The Royal Welcome
My Journey to Rajisthan begins with its warm hospitality, often expressed in the phrase “Pdharo Mhare Desh” ( Welcome to our World ) . The State greets me with vibrant colors , soulful folk music and the tempting smell of real Rajasthani food.
Exploring the City of Royal
Each city in Rajasthan has its own unique charm.
Jaipur - The Pink City
The capital city is a blend of heritage and modernity.
Visiting Hawa Mahal was a wonderful experience. As I stood in the front of the beautiful palace in Jaipur π the place look like honeycomb with many small windows called jharokhas. The small windows work as Ventilation. It was built for royal ladies to watch the city’s life without being seen. Right Opposite Hawa Mahal is the Sireh Deori bazaar, where I purchased a pair of famous Rajasthani juttis, a beautiful kurta set and some stunning oxidised jewellery. The market had a wide variety of traditional items and each purchase felt like a Rajasthan’s vibrant culture. Walking through the streets of the market, I had the chance to interact with the local people of jaipur. They were incredibly welcoming and respectful, making the experience more enjoyable. The beauty and creativity attracts more to the culture and living of the city.
After exploring Hawa Mahal, we decided to visit Amer fort , another gem of Rajasthan. The Amber fort is situated on the hills, looked like something out of a royal fairy π§π»♀️ tale. We hired a tour guide who explained every historical story about Amber fort to us. He shared interesting details about the architecture, the lifestyle of Rajputs rulers. The wife of Rajput Kings used to live in the palace. The fort includes halls, palaces, temples, and many other structures. The tour guider, Shows us the first courtyard which called Jalebi Chowk, where the armies held victory Paras under the commander and Royal families view it Sheela Devi Temple π is situated on the right side of Jalebi Chowk. We prayed there and moved towards second courtyard where Diwan-e-Aam or the public hall was constructed. It was located here for the meetings of king with people of the court, ambassadors, and the other royal guests. Then we moved towards πSheesh Mahal, built by Raja Man Singh, which was completed in 1727. Just like that, the guide shows us Sukh Niwas where a cool climate is created inside the palace by wind blowing over a waterfall, Garden, fourth Courtyard. Then we visited near market where I purchased Rajasthani cap ( Pagdi ) π . After that we moved towards Jaisalmer.
Jaisalmer
Next to Rishi Jaisalmer at night and found a guest house after having dinner. We rested the next morning visited The Longewala war Museum , it is a border town in the Thar Desert of Jaisalmer. It is very close to the border with Pakistan. We watched the movie which showcases the historic 1971 Battle of longewala between India and Pakistan. It displays the army tanks, vehicles, rifles etc which is used during the war.
Then we headed next to the Sam Sand Dunes, there is no point coming to the Thar desert if you do not go for the Desert Safari. That is why Sam Sand Dunes are becoming the Major attraction in Jaisalmer.
My desert Safari experience at Sam Sand Dunes was truly unforgettable. As the sun began to set, we hopped onto a jeep that took us deep into the golden desert. The ride was thrilling as the jeep speed up and down the sand dunes, giving us an exciting adventure.
After the Jeep ride, we tried camel πͺ riding, which was a unique and fun experience. The view of the sunset over the endless dunes was ✨magical. The sky turned shades of orange and pink, creating a perfect π€© picture movement. Later, we relaxed at the desertπ️ camp, enjoying traditional Rajasthani music, dance and under the starlight sky.π
The next morning, we started our journey back to home, enjoying the fun of the road trip along the way. I drove the car, making the experience even more exciting and memorable.π©΅
